Sustainable Gardens
A unique feature of the Stephen D. Home is the application of sustainable gardens. These gardens will raise much of the fresh vegetables and herbs used in the residents’ meals.
Residents will be taught and encouraged to care for plots of vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers.
Water for the gardens will be from the pond which captures storm runoff and recycles collected irrigation water.
